Starting from its dual industrial and technological
base, in 1999, Altis Semiconductor sought to strengthen its final other by instituting
an active partnership policy with other companies selling into the same final
market. It set up on its own site a campus for international groups working
in complementary fields, such as Toppan Photomasks, Air Liquide and BOC Edwards.
The campus now hosts some fifteen companies, and, renamed Essonne
Nanopole, has become a key cluster or expertise in the field of semiconductors.
